Innovative, sustainable and complete value chains for advanced biofuels and non-biological renewable fuel production

The EU-funded sister projects FUELPHORIABUTTERFLY, and POSEIDON are thrilled to announce their first jointly organized webinar on “Innovative, sustainable and complete value chains for advanced biofuels and non-biological renewable fuel production”.

On Friday 18 October 2024 from 11.00 to 12.30 CEST, the three Horizon Europe Innovation Actions funded under the call “Sustainable, secure, and competitive energy supply” will present their first-year activities, objectives, and methodologies, and they will discuss their contribution to EU policy objectives, such as:

  • developing renewable energy and renewable fuel technologies and systems to accelerate the replacement of fossil-based energy technologies;
  • reducing costs and improving efficiency of renewable energy and fuel technologies and their value chains;
  • integrating renewable energy and fuel solutions in different sectors;
  • maximizing the export potential for renewable energy technologies through international collaboration;
  • enhancing sustainability of renewable energy and renewable fuels value chains.
  • This online event is designed to provide insight to key stakeholders, through the three projects’ presentations and a panel discussion, on how FUELPHORIA, BUTTERFLY, and POSEIDON will:
  • Analyse and establish different value chains for renewable fuels production and use, considering challenges, drivers, and barriers in each value chain;
  • Showcase the different steps of the value chains, from feedstock sourcing to end-use applications;
  • Demonstrate that these value chains will increase thecompetitiveness of these solutions and foster their commercialisation;
  • Contribute to the scale-up of advanced biofuels and renewable fuels of non-biological origin;
  • Address the sustainability and supply security aspects of each value chain;
  • Address cross-cutting issues encountered by all value chains (sustainability, finance, regulations etc.)
