6th Multidisciplinary Conference & Innovation Week

The event, under the theme ‘Transformative Innovation for Sustainable Development and Mitigation of Global Challenges’, brought together researchers, industry stakeholders, innovators, students, and university members to explore innovative solutions and share knowledge on global challenges. FUELPHORIA participated in the event as part of the European Horizon Programme’s workshop, where it was presented, as well as the IAM COMPACT project.

The conferences and activities were organised by the Technical University of Mombasa, where they took place. Kostis Atsonios, coordinator of FUELPHORIA and research associate of the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas, and Leonidas Kanonis, partner from EWABA, presented FUELPHORIA and its objective to establish sustainable value chains from advanced biofuels and renewable fuels of non-biological origin. They also highlighted the project’s aim to investigate market opportunities and challenges for the commercialisation of advanced biofuel and RFNBOs in Africa, a task in which the Technical University of Mombasa is participating.

These sessions offered students the opportunity to interact with experts and gain valuable insights, laying a solid foundation for the discussions and innovations showcased at the conference.
